UK companies with a receiver appointed on a charge
Type a company name, a former name or a company number. 1,162 companies with a receiver on a charge, from the Companies House register of 1 October 2026.
Receiver or director of a company listed here? If the business has stopped, its internal data may still have value — see the data of a company in receivership. Or a dated record report.
What this is
When a lender enforces its security, it can appoint a receiver over the asset it holds a charge on — often a building. Companies House then shows the company as “Live but Receiver Manager on at least one charge”. This site lists the companies in that state whose last accounts were made up to a date in 2019 or later: the last accounts and their type, the activity, the town of the registered office and the previous names.
Who uses it
- Tenants, suppliers and creditors — has a receiver been appointed, and over which company?
- Buyers of distressed property — which companies are in receivership on a charge?
- In liquidation or administration instead? — see larger UK companies in insolvency.
What it is not
Not Companies House, not The Gazette, and not a certificate. A receiver over one charge is not an insolvency of the whole company: the company may keep trading, and many companies here are property companies holding a single building. The status is the one on the monthly register file: check Companies House for today's.
